[ Position overview ]
We’re hiring a Creative Strategist who is the idea engine behind our ads, not a manager who briefs one out. You live in the customer’s head. You mine reviews, support tickets, and competitor complaints, turn raw voice-of-customer into angles and emotions, and architect top-of-funnel creative that stops the scroll and earns the click. You think in awareness stages and messaging-market fit, you ladder one clean message across static, video, creator, and long-form VSSL, and you can sit down today and produce high-intent concepts yourself. You sit inside CreativeDose and our growth team, working across the Elevator portfolio. The bar is simple: when you shoot, you shoot to kill.
[ Responsibilities ]
- Build and run the voice-of-customer data bank: mine reviews (yours and competitors’), support tickets, Trustpilot, Amazon, comments, and emails, and turn them into a living library of angles, pain points, and exact customer language
- Own the creative concept end to end: hook, mechanism, storyline, emotion, offer. One clear objective per ad, tracked by use case, angle, and awareness stage
- Architect top-of-funnel storytelling: advertorials, listicles, belief mechanisms, and 3 to 5 minute VSSLs that move a cold viewer from unaware to product-aware in one sequence
- Ladder a single winning message across formats (static, UGC, creator, VSSL) and write briefs detailed enough that the idea comes alive exactly as envisioned
- Originate net-new concepts. We do not win by swiping competitors and iterating to death. You bring angles and formats nobody else is running
- Partner with editors, designers, and media buyers, and write the briefs that turn your ideas into shippable assets
- Read the numbers like a strategist: hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, and diagnose whether a result is a creative problem, an audience problem, or a funnel problem
- Use AI as a force multiplier (Claude for ideation and copy, Higgsfield and similar for VSSL and B-roll) with your taste and human signoff on everything that ships
[ Requirements ]
- 2+ years writing or strategizing direct-response creative for DTC brands or a performance agency, with a real track record of ads you conceived that scaled
- You can articulate why a hook works, why a creative fatigues, and how an angle maps to an awareness stage and an emotion
- Obsessive about voice-of-customer. You instinctively reach for reviews and comments before you write a word
- Fluent in Meta and TikTok creative: hooks, angles, formats, and the full iteration cycle
- You can produce concepts live, on the spot, from raw inputs. This role is screened with a hands-on creative exercise, not just a portfolio review
- Strong storytelling and copy instincts. You write the way real people talk and you make people feel something
- Proficient with AI tools for ideation, scripting, and creative production, with the taste to know what is good
- Always-on, high-ownership energy. If an angle is not working, it is yours to crack
- Remote-ok, fluent async, comfortable working across time zones
