[ Position overview ]
We are hiring a Head of Marketing for FluffCo. This is the brand seat with P&L teeth. You own the language, the feel, the mission, the channel mix, and the assortment. You build desire, you don’t buy clicks. Think marketing director of Allure at Chanel, but inside a high-performance, growth-fluent operating company. You partner with paid, lifecycle, ops, and creative. You don’t inherit their brief. You set it.
[ Responsibilities ]
- BRAND & WORLD-BUILDING. Own FluffCo’s language, voice, mission, visual identity, editorial standard, and sensory feel across every consumer touchpoint
- CHANNEL MIX. Decide where FluffCo shows up and where it refuses to. DTC, Amazon, retail, wholesale, hospitality
- ASSORTMENT & BRAND P&L. What lives, what dies, what launches, at what price, at what margin
- CREATIVE DIRECTION. Direct campaigns, photoshoots, and world-building. The growth team executes against your brief, not the other way around
- BRAND CALENDAR. Run launches, seasons, capsules, and cultural moments. Make FluffCo unmissable on the dates that matter
- CULTURAL EQUITY. PR, partnerships, celebrity, hospitality placements, editorial coverage, brand activations
- POSITIONING. Articulate the answer to “why FluffCo” in one sentence and defend it everywhere
- GROWTH PARTNERSHIP. Partner with paid and lifecycle as peers, not as the source brief. They execute the world you build
- TEAM. Build and lead the brand team. Designer, copywriter, PR, partnerships, content
[ Requirements ]
- 12+ years of marketing with at least the last 5 in a brand-leading seat (Head of Marketing, Brand Director, VP Brand) at an 8-figure DTC consumer brand growing 25%+ annually
- In-house DTC plus omnichannel retail or wholesale experience required. Pure agency or pure performance backgrounds will not be a fit
- 5+ years of people leadership with a track record of building and developing a brand team of at least 4
- Proven track record of brand development, including evolving an existing brand and launching at least one new product line or sub-brand from concept to market
- Experience managing in-house creatives and external agency partners to a consistent visual and editorial standard
- Exceptional project management. You can run a brand calendar across multiple channels and parallel timelines
- An inherent passion for the home, bedding, hospitality, or adjacent lifestyle category. You already care how a room feels before you walk in
- Quantitative fluency. You read a P&L, a contribution margin report, and a creative test readout without help
- Completely fluent in AI tools. Up to date with Claude and the rest of the modern AI toolkit, and using it daily
- Willing to travel
