[ Position overview ]

We’re hiring a Head of CRO to own conversion and copy across the Elevator Goods portfolio. Right now this function is fragmented across brand, creative, and external dev partners. Nobody owns it end-to-end. That’s the gap. You’ll sit between brand and creative, run the research engine, write the master positioning, and direct every page that has to convert across FluffCo, Jiggies, Willa, Notorious Cookware, and new launches under ElevatorX.

[ Responsibilities ]

  • Own conversion rate end-to-end across every EG brand: LPs, PDPs, checkout, post-purchase, subscription. AOV and CVR are your KPIs
  • Lead copy: headlines, hooks, body, value props, and ad-to-LP message match. You write the master positioning and direct everyone downstream of it
  • Run the research engine: VOC, reviews, SERP, competitor teardowns, cultural pulse. We don’t ship a funnel until the research is in
  • Set funnel architecture: mobile-first, progressive disclosure, real urgency only. You own the playbook and the guardrails
  • Direct external dev partners (Next, Jolly, and others) against your spec. You hold the broader picture, they execute
  • Partner with brand on the identity-to-funnel handoff and with creative on the ad-to-LP loop
  • Leverage internal AI tooling to compress research, draft, and ship cycles. You direct the assembly and guard the quality bar

[ Requirements ]

  • 5+ years running CRO at a DTC brand or as an agency principal with shipping receipts. You can show the win rate, not just the case studies
  • Copywriter first, optimizer second. You don’t outsource the words
  • You test your own products. You build LPs for fun. You ship publicly and people in the space already know your name
  • Research-obsessed. You start with the customer, not the template
  • Strong direct-response instinct across LP, PDP, and checkout. You can articulate why a page converts and where it leaks
  • Comfortable in a fast, AI-leveraged org. You use the internal tooling to move 10x rather than fight it
  • Operator mindset. You run a test calendar and manage external partners without needing a PM
  • Time-zone overlap with Hong Kong / Asia preferred but not required for the right person
