Associate Creative Director, Brand & E-Commerce

Boardgame Studio Remote Full time

About Elevator Goods

Elevator Goods is an e-commerce holding company building and operating modern consumer brands and service-based e-commerce businesses. Within the Elevator Goods portfolio is Boardgame Studio — the in-house creative studio and creative engine that powers creative direction, brand identity, design, and content production for Elevator Goods’ internal brands and special projects. Boardgame Studio also serves as the venture engine within Elevator Goods, developing and launching creator-led ventures that we build, brand, and operate in partnership with top talent.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director who sits at the intersection of brand, creative, and e-commerce — a strategic thinker who’s equally comfortable designing, directing, writing, and building.
You’ll help lead creative development for our internal brands, shape launch campaigns for new creator-led products, and work closely with our design, marketing, and operations teams to bring ideas to life across digital touchpoints.
This is a hands-on creative leadership role that reports directly to the Creative Director / Head of Brand. You’ll work collaboratively within a small, fast-moving team and play a key role in translating brand vision into execution across all channels.

Responsibilities

Creative Direction, Brand Development & Design

  • Partner with the Creative Director to concept and execute creative across internal brands (FluffCo, Jiggies) and creator-incubated ventures (Notorious Cookware).
  • Oversee art direction, photography, design systems, and brand identity extensions.
  • Develop campaign concepts for paid, organic, retail, and email.
  • Collaborate with video editors, designers, and copywriters to ensure consistent creative quality and voice.
  • Create and refine design systems and layouts for web, landing pages, and product pages.
  • Make design changes and updates to websites directly in Figma, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and UX best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement design updates accurately and efficiently
  • Support packaging, print, and digital design needs as they arise across brands and ventures.

  • Organic Content & Marketing Strategy

  • Work closely with brand marketing and social teams to shape organic content strategy across social, email, and owned channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop email and social content plans aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Translate brand narratives into content frameworks that drive engagement, storytelling, and growth.
  • Support creative execution for brand campaigns, partnerships, and special projects.

A Strong Desire to Learn

You don’t need to come in with deep e-commerce or technical operations experience — but you should have a genuine interest in learning how modern DTC brands are built, launched, and scaled.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn:

  • How Shopify storefronts are structured, merchandised, and optimized
  • How conversion, UX, and analytics influence creative decisions
  • How Klaviyo and email marketing systems integrate with brand storytelling
  • How e-commerce launches and cross-functional workflows come together behind the scenes

We’re looking for someone curious, proactive, and excited to grow into the e-commerce side of creative leadership as the team scales.

You’re Right for This Role If You:

  • Are equal parts strategist, designer, and operator — comfortable jumping between creative direction and hands-on execution.
  • Have 2–5 years of experience across both creative agency and brand environments.
  • Are fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects preferred).
  • Can concept and direct photo/video shoots with a refined sense of aesthetics and storytelling.
  • Understand social platforms, organic content strategy, and what makes brands grow online
  • Are a self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-moving startup environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • Communicate clearly, think collaboratively, and take ownership from ideation through launch.
  • Are excited to learn new tools, systems, and workflows — especially around e-commerce, UX, and DTC marketing.

Tools & Platforms

Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Shopify, Klaviyo, Notion, Slack.
(Experience with Shopify/Klaviyo not required — but motivation to learn is.)

Compensation

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, with growth potential as the creative function scales across new brands and ventures.
